Murals
West of Nowhere
A longhorn skull held against a painted desert — a wall that remembers the land behind it.
- Project
- West of Nowhere
- Location
- West Texas
- Medium
- Mineral pigment on brick
- Year
- 2025
The Idea
The wall was blank and the country behind it was not. The idea was to put the land back onto the brick — bone, dust, and the long view — so a building would carry the horizon it was standing in.
The Build
Drawn at scale, then painted in mineral pigment over weathered brick. Layers of rust, teal, and bone white. Hands, scaffolding, heat, and time. No vinyl. No shortcut.
The Result
A mural that reads as both relic and landscape. West of Nowhere is not a logo on a wall. It is a place made visible.
