Monumental Boots
A pair of oversized cowboy boot sculptures. Finished, monumental, one of one.

Rich Not Famous is about living a life of your own design. It’s a creative world built through art, stories, craftsmanship, adventure, and the freedom to follow your own path. Being rich isn’t about money or fame—it’s about creating, experiencing, building, and collecting a life worth remembering. I make things because that’s how I live: by curiosity, independence, and the belief that you don’t need permission to create something meaningful. Rich Not Famous is a reminder to define success for yourself, make something that matters, and live by your own design.

Different mediums. Same vision. The work is an expression of a single idea — creating something real from what only existed in your mind.

Sculpture
A pair of oversized cowboy boots finished as sculpture — leather, steel, and scale.
View projectThe Idea
A boot large enough to stand in a room the way a monument stands in a town. Not a prop. An object with weight, wrinkles, and hardware — a Western form pushed past costume into sculpture.
The Build
Built at monumental scale, then airbrushed until the surface read as worn leather: cognac hide, dark creases, black soles, spur straps, silver buckles. The pair was finished in the studio, spur to stitch.
The Result
A pair that holds a space. The boots stay the same. Only the country around them changes.

Make something that doesn’t exist yet.
Some projects begin with a blank wall. Some begin with a sketch. Some begin with an idea that doesn’t have a name yet.

Rich Bohacek is an American artist, craftsman, and storyteller whose career has been defined by curiosity, independence, and the willingness to figure out how to make an idea real.
A graduate of Wayne State College with a degree in fine arts, Rich spent four years serving in the United States Marine Corps before beginning a career that would take him across the country and through nearly every corner of the creative trades. For more than two decades, he has worked as a painter, muralist, sculptor, fabricator, designer, remodeler, and builder—moving comfortably between fine art and the physical world around it.
His work has appeared in private residences, commercial spaces, restaurants, bars, colleges, townships, and large-scale public and private projects. He has painted murals, created sculptures and dimensional pieces, fabricated environments, restored and transformed spaces, built custom objects, and taken on projects where the solution didn’t already exist.
That adaptability comes from a life spent making things rather than limiting himself to a single medium. Rich approaches each project with the same question: What would it take to make this real?
His career has carried him from California through Los Angeles, St. Louis, Denver, and other parts of the country, following opportunities, ideas, and the next thing worth building. Along the way, he has developed a deep respect for craftsmanship and for the relationship between imagination and the physical act of making. His work can move from fine art to a massive mural, from a sculpted object to an entire environment, without losing the same underlying sense of curiosity and intention.
Today, Rich calls Texas home, where he continues to create fine art, murals, sculpture, dimensional work, and custom projects while developing a larger body of work that extends beyond any single medium.
That broader idea is at the heart of Rich Not Famous.
It isn’t simply the name of an artist. It’s a philosophy built around creating your own definition of a rich life—one measured less by recognition and more by freedom, craftsmanship, experiences, stories, and the things you choose to make along the way.
Rich doesn’t believe you have to be famous to live a remarkable life.
You just have to make it your own.
